Our Philosophy
Children, whanau and community are the core of what we do. At The Tree Hut we know that early brain development is the foundation of human adaptability and resilience. Therefore our skilled teachers build nurturing and trusting relationships where all children develop a strong sense of belonging and security, feeling The Tree Hut is a ‘home away from home’. We utilise the natural, bi-cultural environment to focus on, movement, exploration, questioning and a desire to know more about the world around us. Children are supported in developing high levels of emotional intelligence, building their relationships, self worth, resilience and an understanding that they are valued members of society who can make a difference.
